This is an insight into the WHY of Mammas Laef Vanuatu, how it began and what the team do to breakdown taboo and barriers around menstruation or sikmun as it is known in Vanuatu.

Judene was contracted by Frontier Innovators team in Australia in 2018, on a short term project, to help Mammas Laef Vanuatu and the Charitable Trust in New Zealand to develop the legal entities. This was to strengthen the ability of the two teams to break the chains of period poverty in Vanuatu.
