New Zealand Defence Forces to the rescue

Rescued hospital gear heads to Vanuatu

Thanks to the public of New Zealand, the NZ Defence Forces and of course the South Pacific Moana Hospital Trust we have two 20 foot shipping containers heading to Vanuatu in the next week.

What a great surprise it was to receive the news the New Zealand Navy were sailing to Vanuatu around the same time that the hospital gear was destined to head into the Pacific.   The Navy will be taking one of the shipping containers, arriving in Vanuatu by the end of  July.   The remaining 20 foot container, due to be loaded in the next few days, will arrive in early September.

The logistics have been enormous but very rewarding none-the-less. The NZ Defence Forces have been a dream to work alongside.  I appreciate all the fabulous individuals who have made contact to support with funding or to give words of encouragement.

I’ll come back with an update in the next 2 weeks with details of the businesses and groups who have made this dream, a reality.
